Yesterday I got to go down into my workshop and my play with all the bamboo bowlfulls of polymer clay beads I've been making, and also all the great vintage style bead caps I've been collecting. We're showing alot of these caps on our website at http://www.bsueboutiques.com; some of them are already so popular we can hardly keep them in stock.
Do you see the rolled brass tube beads toward the end of the strand? These are totally my new faves. I don't have any to share yet, but I will, soon. I combined them with a small filigree flower cap and a tiny fluted vintage style bead cap.
The necklace is very long, about 30 inches or so.....to my mind, you need a nice long necklace for a big pendant like this. This pendant started out life as WHITE polymer clay, but, alas....I burned it! It turned this lovely rust color, which I then enhanced with alcohol inks and Pearl Ex Mica powders and sealed with Sculpey matte glaze.
