As you see I have a rather eclectic collection.....a dog breeds book among many books about collecting vintage costume jewelry.
But this is really only a VERY SMALL part of my collection. I have two large library bookcases FULL.....and piles here and there on the floor in about every room of the house.....and a shelf full in my workshop, too. That doesn't even include all my supply catalogues and back issues of many magazines.
Since I am a self-trained artist for the most part, books with great pictures were for years, my life line to design. Even though we have worlds of rich content on the internet, including so many free instructional videos at YouTube (did you know that bsueboutiques channel at YouTube now has THIRTEEN videos....and counting....my goal is a minimum of 25 by the end of the year!) there is STILL nothing like a great book with friendly instructions and fabulous photography.
I will spend on books when there's nothing left but coffee money. Someone once suggested to me that I should sell some of my books; I have a number of them that are now out of print and worth a pretty penny to collectors.
NAAAAAH.....books are your friends, good friends, friends you keep for life!
I'm interested in YOUR fave books, do TELL! Come to my B'sue Boutiques Fan Page, click on the discussion link, and look for the book discussion. Join in! By this time next week, I'll chose someone from among those who participated to receive a GIFTIE.
My gifties are grand, y'know. So come on over and post your thoughts. You're welcome to post here, too, but the giftie will go to somebody who posted at the Facebook page.
