Heather Powers, who is owner of Humble Beads and the writer of The Art Bead Scene Blog, has taken quite an interest in vintage beaded jewelry, in particular Haskell-style cagework beading.
You'll want to read her Part One and Part Two posts about her discoveries; they are full of good links that will send you on a new creative journey.
Find The Art Bead Scene Blog here: http://artbeadscene.blogspot.com/
I was really tickled to find that she had included my online tutorial on getting started with beads, wire and filigree and included it in her Part Two post...
And then, she said this lovely thing:
B'sue Boutiques is kind of the mother lode for filigree and vintage inspired findings. This is a new to me site, yes, I live under a rock! They carry just about any find of vintage goodie your heart could desire.s Their blog is a great source of vintage inspired jewelry inspiration and they host fun challenges on their facebook page! The also have a YouTube channel with tutorials and tips.
I am so happy that Heather found us out there in the Internet stratosphere. What do you think? Should I send her some free Russian Goldplated findings to help in her cagework adventure? I think I should!
http://www.bsueboutiques.com/russian_goldplate.shtml is where you'll find them at B'sue Boutiques
Be sure to bookmark and follow Heather's blog. There is some solid eye candy there.

Oh yeah...yea Heather! I am working on some cagework for my five and dime, and it's not easy!

I discovered you through Heather's recent blog post. I love your blog! I can't believe I haven't seen any of it before. Your youtube videos are wonderful and I plan on taking as much advice from your 'about blogging' post as I can! I've never made any cagework jewelry before but I can't wait to learn more about it :D

Hey Emma, I think Heather's stuff is the bomb....and I'm a little jealous as I am so stuffed for time and can't do the type of work I want to! I used to do A LOT of caging, but it delights me that so many people want to get into it these days. Heather said the same thing, hey! where have you been? Where have I been? LOL come see us at http://www.bsueboutiques.com and I hope to have more videos before too many more weeks pass. Right now I am doing a huge makeover on the workshop, today we are making my resin bench (I will take pix and blog about it). Be sure to get Tim's book, you will find it SO HELPFUL even if you aren't interested in Etsy. He was the main reason I went there but EVEN SO, I learned so much about FB, Twitter and blogging that it would have been worth it even if I hadn't.
