What IS an Easy Peasy piece?
It would be something fashionable, wearable, enjoyable.....that you can make in an hour or less.
Easy Peasy Style pieces work out for many. First of all, there are a great number of us who would love to make jewelry, but either don't have time or patience to work on just one piece for many days.
Secondly, many of us sell our work. We want to give our customers value, but at the same time, there is little profit in working on one piece for days that now must sell for a great deal of money.
Thirdly, again if you are selling: people do not usually want to spend a great deal of money. Also, they may admire something that's over the top but they'd chose to wear something that is simpler.
In May we had the Easy Peasy Design Challenge at B'sue Boutiques Creative Group I was thrilled to see how much participation we had!
There were actually so many! I'll share a few highlights with you here, and make this PART ONE:
This piece is from Rene Byrd of Designs Bloom at Etsy:
Two things that really stand out to me is the balanced lariat style, with the weighted piece through the large central O-ring. This technique is something I always find personally appealing.
I also liked the treatment on the little rosebud bead; Rene inserted a tiny Czech bellflower bead up inside with a headpin through the rivet hole, and turned it. Easy to do and it really adds alot to the rosebud bead. We carry both at B'sue Boutiques, you can just click on the links to find them.
I also liked this piece by Beanzie of The Vintage Heart at Ruby Lane:
It's effusive yet simple all at once and VERY wearable. She's featured Rusty Black Patina findings and filigree. Find them here:

Cathy Buckley of Cat's Meow jewelry did a simple treatment with sari on a cork:
With a few little beads for swing and color, what she's got here is basically an ART CHARM.
Here's a video about making ART CHARMS from B'sue:
I also liked this offering from Joan Williams of Lil Ruby at Etsy:
Joan loves our little rusty black Egyptian beetles! I love how she so often accents them with just a little Patina Gilder's Paste
Find the beetles here:

Perhaps you'll be inspired to get out a few beadies and charmies today, and a bit of chain....and see what you can come up with! We'd love to see what you do with B'sue Boutiques products...and feature them in our blogs, newsletters, and at Facebook and Pinterest!
Here's our Easy Peasy Necklaces album at Pinterest:
