The challenge began with raw brass.....bits of this and that:
Lots of little leaves...which Marcia colorized with alcohol inks:
A mixed media delight!
Marcia Tuzzolino of Aurora Design is a member of the B'sue Boutiques Design Group as well as an admin for the B'sue Boutiques Creative Group at Facebook and has created many assemblage pieces from components found at B'sue Boutiques
She used sari ribbon and Vintaj Patina Inks in quartz, which is a very, very light pink.
You can find the inks here: http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/Vintaj-Patinas-Victorian-Gable-9606
Marcia says about her design:
"I torch fired the leaves in the first pic, then added alcohol inks and Gilder's' paste Patina.
I used the Tiffany Green Rust on the beads, and added Blue Dye Oxides to that for the bead caps. Then, I added three small flowers and the small slotted necklace blank.
I used Vintaj Patina in Quartz color, along with some Ruby, Light Gold Lumiere paint, and some Espresso Alcohol Ink under it on the Rose focal. Glued everything in place with E6000.
Added some Silk Sari Ribbon, a turquoise stone, a vintage pearl drop with the beads, some sterling silver wire in the Swelleganted bead caps."
The necklace is a little burst of spring we can all use right about now!
We'll look forward to more fresh ideas from Marcia in the near future!
