Since we moved to the new building, I've had the privilege of having a number of private students who came for the weekend to spend a little time.
Mitzi Curi came from Michigan and we had a great time. Mitzi likes to make bracelets from our sectional bezel bracelets at B'sue Boutiques using old earrings....among many other things!
We had such a nice time.
Shirley Wilson from town comes to see me often, and we have had many little teaching sessions. This is something Shirley made:
Valerie Taloni came from Florida a few months back:
She is wearing a necklace we worked on in her class. Finally she is taking steps to sell her pieces; her first show was a party in her home and she made a nice little stipend for her hard work.
Javi is my workshop assistant, and the one who films and edits our videos:
She loves to make jewelry, too....mostly beaded things and wire work.
Javi came to us about a year ago and now she is a full employee of B'sue Boutiques. She took over a lot of Rob's old job when he left to work at AT&T...but Rob's still around on Sundays.
Finally, Javi and I got an Etsy shop up for jewelry selling:
You will find it here:
I love to teach Javi. She has an innate sense of balance and design. She set up the Etsy shop, and Shelley and I have been loading the photos. It will be awhile til we have everything in it as we'd like, but Javi has already sold a couple of pair of earrings!
This necklace she made is also in the shop:
She likes to make bracelets too!
Javi will join us for the polymer clay class with Christi Friesen in May.....I can't wait to see what she comes up with after she learns Christi's techniques.
Pretty soon she will be teaching me!
