A few of my favorite things.....
Russian Goldplated brass from our website, B'sue Boutiques This piece is on major sale and it's one I am personally NEVER without in my workshop:
Find it here: http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/Old-World-Pierced-Floral-Filigree-2994
I also like these Tussie cones. Have you discovered them yet?
They are here: http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/Filigree-Tussie-Mussie-Findings-3870 They are rolled filigree with a loop on the end, you can make tussie mussie brooches from them. Glue in some flowers and the pinback goes on vertically to the back, and hang a little drop. Take very little time to make, I used to sell SO MANY of them at shows. The finding is a fave, and it's on sale, too!
I love Russian Goldplate and we will be featuring it alot for Spring 2012.
I love this little Steampunk propeller in chocolate brass, but I over-ordered a bit....so grab them up for only 95 cents each:

This clamp bracelet can be embellished...or not. The fit is a dream. So many times they made these round, and your wrist isn't round, it's oval. These are oval. SO, they fit!
They are on sale, too! http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/1-78-Inch-Wide-Black-Hinged-Cuff-w-Magnetic-Clasp--Embellish-It-7733
Okay, enough of me. I would like for you to tell me about YOUR favorite things from the B'sue Boutiques website. There will be a VERY cool prize for one happy participant.
WHAT TO DO: Comment here and include a link back to my website to an item you really like. It can be something you've used, something you're planning on getting or are anticipating using in a project. Tell me why you like it, even what you would do with it, if you like. THEN, also:
I need you to back that comment up with tweets or FB posts ***with the link to the item***. Just put it on YOUR wall at Facebook. Or my Facebook wall , at Brenda Sue Lansdowne (not at the B'sue Boutiques Fan Page).
Tweets would also be great, please include the link in your tweet or FB post.
Or if you want, you can also repost this blog post about the contest on your blog, or talk about this contest and link to my post.
If you do those things and help me promo your fave things at my website, I will have a drawing and the winner gets this:
This is the necklace I wore in yesterday's video and features some of my handmade beads as well as green brass.
You don't have to buy anything to win, but you do have to do the work to be eligible to win, because this necklace is worth about 85.00.
I will also hand-sign the piece over to the winner, with a date.
You have until Sunday night at midnight, and on Monday, I'll announce here and on Facebook, who got the necklace. I need you to:
1. Comment and include a link
2. Tweet or Facebook or BOTH, and include a link
3. Repost this blog post or a link to it on your blog, if you have one, if possible.
I've been reading that having contests like this is a great way to engage people and find out who is really reading your blog. It takes me a lot of effort to get a piece done these days since there is so much going on, so giving something FAB like this away is quite special.
I am putting this out there as an experiment to see how many participate---I'm looking at it as an excersize that will benefit all of us, as if it does well here, you might like to try it. We did great with the Sari Ribbon Hop....let's see what happens.
I hope YOU!!! win.

I like these propeller pieces because they go great with all the steampunk stuff I do - from jewelry to art objects. They add a unique touch and people wonder where you got it.

Thanks Kirin! Hopefully people will repost as asked, and please choose something I haven't, already. I'm hoping to see tweets and reposts to Facebook **with links***....XOXO

Okay I know I always pick hearts but they truly are my favorite amazing charms from B'sue. About a year before the Rusty patina finish came out I asked B'sue if she would be getting in something similar to that dark finish. So when she got these in they were exactly what I was looking for. The finish is just so lovely, like chocolate. I love the way they go with the antique keys I have been using in my designs. So all of the Rusty Patina items are really my favorites but of course I love this heart lock. "He who holds the key can unlock my heart".

I'm loving the chocolate ox finish. I am just starting to use filigree and be brave enough to layer lots of it like in the necklace. Here's one piece I'm eyeing:

I really would like to try this one. I think it would be great used in necklaces or even done up as a tie clasp.

I am for sure doing this. I just love the Green Patina over brass OX filigree heart. I know I'm going to use it in something wonderful when it gets here and am wishing I had bought more.

I don't really have a favorite finding at B'Sue Boutiques as I love them all! I have really been wanting to try Ooky the Octupus in the rusty black finish. http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/Ooky-The-Ugly-Octopus-8327

I opted to do the blog post, which I have since posted to my Facebook page. I did a private event last night, and jewelry made with your findings were the stars of the show. Blogging about it was the easiest thing in the world. :-)
An excerpt: "At the moment I am in love with her wonderful floral components, like this one in Old Rose Ox, http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/Single-Layer-Flower-with-Rivet-Hole-6333, and this one, in Chocolate Ox, http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/39mm-Six-Petal-Pierced-Drilled-With-Top-Hole-Rusty-Black-Flower-8527.
Why? Because with those pieces (and a few other bits, of course) I made this set, which found a new home last night.

I'm an absolute flower fan, anytime, any wear....lol, gorgeous creation! Thanks for this too.

I think the necklace is sweet and I love the patinas and the SIZE! I bought some oversize beetles from B'Sue and I bought some patina and now I plan to patina the beetles and use them in as oversized earrings. I think working outside the box on my jewelry makes me think outside the box and keeps my work at a more interesting level artistically (is that a word?) Anyway, so I love looking at B'Sues "finds" as they always give me new Over the Top ideas...

I love this princess carriage. I got the one in Brass Ox and it's my absolute favourite. I have had so many compliments on the necklace I made using this as the focal. I think I might try this Silver plate one too, it looks really pretty!

I love this Floral Cluster Pendant in the rusty black patina finish. I'd love to remove the patina on the high points and turn it into an earthy necklace with lots of dark wood beads and pops of bright color.
http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/Floral-Cluster-Pendant-8365
And I'd probably need to get some corrugated and raindrop bead caps to go with it. :D

Keep em coming....I'm extending deadline til TOMORROW, MONDAY, November 14 at 3pm EST (Ohio, USA time) so my newsletter readers have enough time for this too....but a winner will be announced right after that!

I have so many things I like on the website, I find it hard to pick a favorite. But for some reason, this piece always calls out to me: http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/35x35mm-Bracelet-Plaques-332
The first time I got one as a gifty with one of my orders. The one I got is in a coppery finish, but I know it comes in several finishes, which is one of the reasons I like it so much. Not only is there versatility in the color, but this piece can be used so many ways....as a necklace focal, or as a brooch, or as a bracelet link, or even mounted on a cuff. It can be enhanced with color, or a cabochon, or with resin.

Wow,very pretty! My favorite product are your bezel charms. I love cutting out words and little pictures from my magazines before i recycle them and the Bezel charms are perfect for creating mini collages to wear! I also ordered the little secret window charms(i can't find them now,so i'm not sure what they are called) I love my little window charm and have been saving it for the perfect creation but i am going to check out your blog for some new ideas to use with it..thanks!!

I have SO many favorite pieces from www.bsueboutiques.com ! ALL of my jewelry is made using her designer finish findings! My customers especially like the silverware silverplate finish! I personally love the Old Rose Ox and the Russian Goldplate! I can't get enough of the ring shanks!
http://www.bsueboutiques.com/ring_shanks.shtml
They are so beautiful, durable and easy to create with. The finishes are the BEST available anywhere!! Many times I have worn one and my farmers market customers have purchased the ring right off my finger! We always keep at least 24 designed rings at our booth.
