Donna and Javi Keep it Simple: Check Out Their Jewelry Styles

This is my sister-in-law, Donna Parry. She's been helping out behind the scenes at the shop, honing a few of her jewelry making skills over the last year at B'sue Boutiques

A few weeks ago, we were happy to invite her to be a permanent part of our day-to-day schedule.

Donna has already sold some jewelry here in the shop. She loves rich color and quaint vintage, Bohemian style lavalieres.

Look at this simple necklace and ear drops she made from things we had on hand here in the shop:

She also used this rosary-style connector in the center of the necklace:

We also like the little beehive beadcaps, they look like wrapped wire, don't they?

The necklace set, with the earrings, took her about an hour to create. It's a straightforward design, easy for you to see what's going in and have a go at re-creating, if you like!

I don't think it will last long here in the shop.

Javi is young and so she has a simple, youthful style:

She made that pretty little bracelet on her arm from memory wire and some stray beads....in a matter of minutes. Here is another one that she made:

Javi loves wire and little beads....and she is good at mirroring a wire wrap, even without a jig:

The idea of wrapping wire with a jig never appealed to me, much, but I think Javi would do well with it....so we will be getting one for her, soon.

I think we could do with a whole rack of simple little earrings like these!

To make them, she uses a round nose pliers and a cutter:

and 20 gauge Silverplated Beadsmith wire (it works up like butter!)

And here's a funky little video about working with wire.....the necklace I'm wearing is definitely NOT easy peasy...or simple. Hey! It takes all kinds!

But lately....I'm focusing on easier....and simpler!
