Actually I made this piece awhile back....a lady in town wanted its chain extended, so it was sitting on my workbench. Got to thinking, here ya go, another thing you can do with a mount, and it's easy-peasy, too!
I used this mount:

I placed a filigree under the large rose. First I glued the filigree down, then I glued the rose on top. Here is the rose:

But you wouldn't have to use that one! Any number of our roses would work....check them out! Make it your own design, your way!

As for filigree, there are so many ways to go:

Or use this flower petal....
find it here: http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/Slotted-Drilled-Flower-Brass-Ox-51mm-11775
OR! use THIS one:
Find this one here! http://www.bsueboutiques.com/item/Flower-Stamping-Pierced-Brass-Ox-61mm-11753
You could also embellish it with dried flowers, Iced Enamels and Ice Resin, as Cindy Cima Edwards did:
Here is her tutorial, you're welcome to a copy. Here is a link so you can come print one out for yourself:

Linzi Alford likes to use Swellegant on resin cameos and make them look ANCIENT....that's another way to embellish your mount!
She wrote a great tutorial about doing it....and you are most welcome to a copy of that, too, if you'd like!
Find it here:

I've always found a pendant mount to be a most amazing COLLAGE base for assemblage work!
Here is a combination cameo/assemblage piece:
This is a cuff bracelet I made a very long time ago.....using a cameo mount in the front of the cuff:
Sad picture, but hey! The mount worked great! Thank goodness I learned to use a camera!
Anyway, before I leave you, here's a cool video about using the mounts and embellishing cameos. It's been a favorite of many for a number of years. We made it back in the old Messy Workshop before it even had its makeover...but hey. It's not about the space, is it?
NOPE. It's about the FUN!
Beautiful pieces .. love B'sue mounts ..
