It all started the other day with this necklace....that cameo was just too BLAH!
A little black acrylic paint (watered down a bit) and some Gilder's paste thinned with paint thinner (you can use mineral spirits, too!) and voila:
OKAY....now we're talking!
Yesterday Miss Kate, who was visiting me for a weekend of fun---more about that, in another post---and I made a video on how to apply color to resin cameos. I think there's still a whole lot more to be said...but for now, here's the video:
And now....here are some up close and personal pix of the cameos I showed you in the video. All of these cameos are from B'sue Boutiques
WOW. Such detail!

Here's a little grouping of the cameos from the video:
So pretty! And it took MINUTES....and simple products you already have in your workshop!
Look at this dragonfly, mounted:
And how about that little fairy we did right at the end of the video, now in a mount?
Sometimes I like to turn the mounts around so I can hang stuff from the bottom. There are little holes you can use along the way at the top and get a jump through, and make a necklace, going this way.....or make a brooch!
They SAY brooches are coming back. Hmmm. I hope so. I am READY for brooches to come back! They are so easy to make, and fun to wear.
Gotta show you this before I sign off, too.....here's a cameo that's made up for sale here in my East Palestine, Ohio, shop.....and one from the video:
A REALLY different look, isn't it?
We have lovely mounts at B'sue Boutiques, too:

This is the one I used here in this post:

Remember: you need to seal your antiqued/colorized cameos. Easy way: matte or satin Krylon spray lacquer (any will work, I just like Krylon).
Another way: JEWELRY SHIELD.

Well....I gotta get my day motivating along...Miss Kate is about to show up and we have about forty new things we want to try today before time to go to dinner tonight. NO WORRIES....I will take LOTS of pictures!
