The B'sue Boutiques Creative Group Challenge for APRIL was POP OF COLOR. Above is what I made for the challenge, a beaded drop necklace full of curious little trinkets and bead drops....and LOTS of color!
Have you joined us at the Group yet?

It's great place for mixed media artists to meet. Sponsored by our website, B'sue Boutiques you can post your finished handmade jewelry for sale, your handmade components and even vintage jewelry you are curious about or wish to sell.
It's only for our challenges that it's required for you to use components from B'sue Boutiques, and you can certainly mix them with some from your own stash, as well. We encourage you to show us good, clear photos done on a white background. I will choose some of the best for the Bead Chat Spread in the bi-monthly Artisan Whimsy ezine.
We choose a winner every month based on participation only, and the winner is chosen by random number generator. You could win a 50.00 gift pass to B'sue Boutiques
For MAY, the challenge will be POLYMER CLAY and B'SUE: you can make any sort of jewelry you'd like, featuring polymer clay and a visible focal from B'sue Boutiques
We decided on clay as Christi Friesen is coming to teach a class here in Columbiana, Ohio, sponsored by B'sue Boutiques and we wanted everyone to get in on the fun, even if they couldn't make the event!
It's gonna be a whirlwind weekend and such a ball.
IN FACT: we have ONE SPOT OPEN, if you can grab your suitcase and attend! Contact Brenda Sue Lansdowne at Facebook or write me at the CONTACT US tab at my website, B'sue Boutiques
We actually filled the class in 48 hours, but one of our pals has some troubles and cannot make it, so you would be able to get her ticket , if you'd like. Let me know! The class is only a few weeks away!
Here's a little preview of what sort of jewelry you might make.....I actually made a piece that fits the criteria the other day:
I used white clay which I colored with acrylics after baking and then sealed with Swellegant Clear Cote. I topped the center heart with a riveted flower composition I had colorized and resined; the components are from B'sue Boutiques. All of the findings including that cool little bead cap that looks like wrapped wire is from B'sue Boutiques....the beads are stuff from my own stash, new and vintage repurpose.
Actually one of the things we have that I ALWAYS use with polymer clay, since I love to make beads, is our bead caps. They go GREAT with clay:

Come on over and have a look at them!
Challenge for June will be "If I Were a Bride"....I'll have a blog post about that once we get through til the end of May.
I hope you will join us in our challenges, we also pin and promote the pieces at our Pinterest board:
